Acrylic colour wasn’t always my medium of choice, but once I discovered it, I never looked back. Entirely self-taught since my early teens, I began with a healthy obsession for charcoal, creating black-and-white images that led to a few humble sales to a cafe and a local hair salon.

My inspiration comes from living on and loving the coast. I paint in the same colours I see around my small coastal town and its beaches. Discovering fluid art was a turning point, as its organic, free-flowing movement is mesmerising and calming. Each piece takes on a life of its own, often resembling the beautiful landscapes, islands, and coral of the Great Barrier Reef.

All my pieces eventually find their loving home, where they belong and were meant to be. I now teach the Bloom Technique worldwide, sharing my passion and skills with others.

Meet Niki

Niki D has been my nickname since a child. In 2018 a facebook friend posted a photo of her fluid art, after taking a class, I was transfixed. I spent around 6 months watching as many YouTube videos as possible before buying any supplies. The acrylic pouring addiction had begun!

In 2019 I took the Sheleeart E-Course, I’d been a fan and follower of Shelee’s from Facebook and Instagram. Then my artistic floodgates opened, I was amazed at how using Shelee’s recipe I could create such beautiful art. I began my own YouTube channel on 29th July, 2020. I have over 450 videos now on my channel and mind is still bursting with ideas.

Meet Mitch

Having taken up fluid art during the peak of the Covid 19 pandemic, Mitchell found the Sheleeart course and quickly learned the science behind the magic of creating cells.

Mitchell worked with countless mediums to perfect the bloom and became a valued member of the Sheleeart community, and remains a knowledgeable and experienced team member, teacher and mentor.

Sheleeart Live will be held over the Weekend of the 28th & 29th of September 2024.

Each class will be sold as a single unit with no bundle options available for this event. Please add each class as an individual item to your cart before proceeding to checkout.

All ticket sales are final with no refunds available after purchase. Please be sure of your intended purchase before proceeding to checkout. If you are unable to attend one or more of your classes you may request to transfer your ticket/s to another attendee.  Sheleeart will facilitate the name change, but finding a replacement attendee is your responsibility. Classes are strictly not interchangeable.

Please note we will have a live film crew present throughout the event, and while the focus will be on the teaching artists you may be filmed and images or videos maybe published online and via social media platforms.
